MANUFACTURING EXECUTION SYSTEM

GESPER MDS

Remote monitoring, dispatching and analytics for distributed production — in any browser, on any device.

Introduction to GESPER

The “GESPER” software package is as follows:

  1. Data integration from all infrastructure distributed to the control system of the enterprise.
  2. Remote dispatch control of equipment operation in real-time.
  3. Data archiving for further retrieval.
  4. A privacy policy for encryption and password protection access.

“GESPER” is based on the open industrial protocol OPC DA, which was designed for data acquisition from all distributed control systems of an enterprise. For customers, this is a modern web interface that does not require the installation of third-party software, working with any current browser on any convenient device: PC, tablet, or smartphone.

As a rule, an enterprise’s structure consists of divisions and workshops that are unconnected from an information standpoint. This can happen either because the enterprise’s equipment was commissioned at different stages of its development, or because a variety of contractors supplied their own design solutions.

Through “GESPER”, divisions can be connected to a single monitoring and archiving data system for further analysis, taking internal workshop interactions into account regardless of the production monitoring systems already in use. We keep our customers’ commercially sensitive information secure.

For that, the software package “GESPER” uses:

  • Encryption of client–server traffic (SSL).
  • Password protection for user accounts.

GESPER for Technology and Processes

“GESPER” solves the most frequent challenge facing technical staff: the inability to remotely monitor equipment operation and control its working modes.

A hierarchical visualisation system of the manufacturing process gives access to:

  • Up-to-date information on the current state of a unit, site, workshop, and the enterprise as a whole (summary screen), made possible by the animation and colour symbols used to illustrate the state of objects according to modern automation standards.
  • A history graph of the operation of a node and its local sensors, building a “historical trend” or a brief operational summary of up to 48 hours.

The mechanism for creating sets of graphs helps you prepare standard solutions — sets of several parameters — for a quick and qualitative assessment of a unit’s operating modes. The “share” function lets you hand the sets you’ve already created to your colleagues for later joint analysis. Working from already-created sets of graphs, the historical-data module helps analyse equipment operation over a longer period of time. Processing the history of technological parameters with third-party software is supported through export into the universal *.CSV format.

Reporting and Analytics with GESPER

The “GESPER” software continuously archives an enterprise’s technological data — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — into a single database.

The Report module lets you receive a report in graphical form, according to a specified set of technological parameters, for a given period of time, at a specified accuracy. The Analytical Reports module is designed to bring together information about abnormal equipment operation over a shift, a day, or an arbitrary time interval.

The statistical-data modules provide automatic mailing both to the creator of the reports and to other recipients. Data archived in “GESPER” can be exported in CSV format, and “GESPER” supports working with its archived data at the SQL-query level, because it is built on a standard SQL database.

Business with GESPER

The “GESPER” subscription system from GESPER Technology s.r.o. lets customers always run the latest version of the product, with new functional modules introduced as they are released.

Remote administration of production is an unspoken requirement for enterprises that want to keep up with the times. Implementing the “GESPER” software package is a progressive solution to a problem facing every modern enterprise.

Advantages of GESPER

Using of Web technologies

In developing the "GESPER" software, we use modern web technologies — HTML5, JavaScript, SVG — so it works correctly on any device, scaling graphics without any loss of quality.

Data encryption

"GESPER" uses the SSL cryptographic protocol to provide secure data transfer from the server to a client. Only authorised users have access to monitoring and analysis data for the enterprise, preserving the confidentiality of the information.

Centralized data collection

Centralised data collection from every unit of the enterprise through "GESPER" allows archiving the technological parameters of different objects into a single database, for analysis of the enterprise's work as a whole.

Quick technical support

We provide remote technical support and are constantly upgrading "GESPER". It does not incur additional costs for the arrival of our staff on site, and it saves you time.

Using OPC Protocols

The "GESPER" system uses the platform-independent industrial data-exchange protocol OPC DA between devices of the technological process control. This allows you to collect data on the work of automation objects and technological processes of departments, regardless of the type of controllers used in the enterprise's automated systems — Allen-Bradley, SIEMENS, Schneider Electric.

Standard compliance

The "GESPER" software package has been developed in accordance with ISO and GOST standards.
